One of the leading government projects is the plan to digitalize the country. The project under the supervision of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake as the digital finance minister is starting in the implementation of the state mechanism.
A special discussion was held today (27th) on digitalizing the Ministry of Labour and providing its services to the people promptly and effectively.
For that at the Ministry of Labour in Colombo under the leadership of Hon. Minister of Labour Dr. Anil Jayanta Fernando, Hon. Deputy Minister of Labour Mahinda Jayasinghe and Hon. Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne.
The discussion gained special attention on the need to make services more prompt and productive in the Department of Labor, a major institution under the Ministry of Labor.
Ideas came here on how to replace the digitalization project for it.
Accordingly, it was banned to provide relevant services to the people coming to receive services in a minimum time and to provide services efficiently online and digitalization.
The need to create an integrated digital platform while providin g services to the people especially from the department of Labor, Central Bank, Employee Finance Fund etc was raised here. The discussion also emphasized that through this digitalization program, workers can save time and effort while receiving their benefits and rest of services, and create a more satisfying public service.
