The Ministry of Digital Finance, in collaboration with UNDP Sri Lanka, unveiled the official record of 2025 Human Development Report with the theme, "People and Talents of the AI Age".
The event held at BMICH Colombo with the participation of over 200 stakeholders were attended by many classic guests including Deputy Minister of Digital Finance Hon. Eranga Weeraratne and Chief Representatives from State, Civil Society and Private Sector.

Sri Lanka Launches 2025 Human Development Report: A Call for Inclusive Digital Transformation The Ministry of Digital Economy, in collaboration with UNDP Sri Lanka, proudly hosted the official launch of the 2025 Human Development Report titled "A Matter of Choice: People and Possibilities in the Age of AI".
Held in Colombo with the participation of over 200 stakeholders, the event brought together high-level dignitaries including Hon. Eranga Weeraratne, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, and key partners from across government, academia, civil society, and the private sector.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Weeraratne emphasized Sri Lanka’s commitment to building a future-ready digital economy driven by AI, innovation, ethics, and inclusion, with a bold vision of reaching a US$15 billion digital economy by 2030.
The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Hon. Professor Chrishantha Abeysena, Minister of Science and Technology; Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka; Hon.
