The Sydney Investor Forum, organized by the Sri Lanka and the Australian Chamber of Commerce (SLACC) together with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Sri Lanka General Commissioner's Office, as an attractive destination for Australian investors and technology companies. Investors, tech leaders and policymakers gathered at one place to explore opportunities to build Sri Lanka.

Over the past three years, Sri Lanka's digital ecosystem has shown rapid growth and innovation, new opportunities across multiple sectors. The forum discussed the misconceptions about doing business in Sri Lanka. Also emphasized here on the strong policies and investment reforms introduced to foster innovation, entrepreneurship and border collaboration.

Here is the government-led keynote speakers including Hon. Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne, President Chief Advisor on Digital Economy and President of the IT Representative Dr. Hans Vijayasuriya to strengthen government reforms, initiatives for digital infrastructure and strengthen investment trust Explained about the forest scheme and the incentives designed to accelerate digital transformation.

On 10th October in Sydney, the Sydney Investor Forum, organized by the Sri Lanka and Australia Chamber of Commerce (SLACC) in collaboration with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Sri Lankan High Commission, brought together investors, tech leaders, and policymakers to explore why Sri Lanka is emerging as an attractive destination for Australian investors and technology firms.

Over the past three years, Sri Lanka’s digital ecosystem has demonstrated rapid growth and innovation, with new opportunities unfolding across multiple sectors. The forum addressed key misconceptions about doing business in Sri Lanka and highlighted the strong policy and investment reforms introduced to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and cross-border collaboration.

At the event, keynote speakers, Hon. Eranga Weeraratne, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, and Chief Advisor to the President on Digital Economy and Chairman of ICTA, highlighted the government’s digital reforms, infrastructure development initiatives, and programs aimed at boosting investor confidence and accelerating digital transformation in Sri Lanka.
