கண்டி, கம்பளை, மாத்தளை மற்றும் பிற பகுதிகள் உட்பட பல பகுதிகள் இன்று இராணுவத்தின் ஆதரவுடன் மீட்டெடுக்கப்படும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

With the ongoing adverse weather conditions causing disruptions to the electricity supply, communication networks in many parts of the island have gone down.
A meeting to discuss this situation and to take the necessary immediate measures was held today under the leadership of the Hon. Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, Eng. Eranga Weerarathna, and the Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka, Air Vice Marshal (Rtd.) Bandula Herath.
At present, the Ministry of Digital Economy, the “Clean Sri Lanka” programme, the security forces, and the telecommunication companies have launched a coordinated operation to restore the fuel supply, return towers to normal functioning, and fully prevent technical faults.
Many areas, including Kandy, Gampola, and Matale, are expected to be restored to normalcy today with the assistance of the Army.
